This policy explains what information Yieldedu collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built Yieldedu to handle sensitive business financials, and we treat them accordingly.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Business information: what you enter in the valuation form, such as business name, industry, location, revenue, expenses, profit, debt, cash, growth, and employees.
- Documents: any financial statements or tax returns you choose to upload. Uploading is optional.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and the amount, not your card number.
- Technical information: basic logs (such as IP address and browser type) used to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To calculate your valuation and produce your report.
- To run your account, process payments, and send emails about your account and reports.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.
Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run Yieldedu, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Anthropic processes your business information and any uploaded documents to generate the written analysis in your report.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Railway hosts the application, database, and uploaded files.
- Resend delivers account and report emails.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and Yieldedu.
Security and access
Connections to Yieldedu are encrypted. Uploaded documents are stored privately, outside the public website, and are only served to you after an ownership check. Access within Yieldedu is limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate the service or support you.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account, reports, and documents while your account is active so you can revisit past reports. You can ask us to delete your account, a specific report, or your uploaded documents at any time by emailing support@yieldedu.com. We will delete them within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons, such as payment records.
Cookies
We only use essential cookies: ones that keep you signed in and protect forms from forgery. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Email us to make a request and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Yieldedu is intended for business owners and is not directed to anyone under 18.
